Earth Day 2023
Join us for a day of hands-on activities, games, and initiatives celebrating Planet Earth and Gulf State Park's nine ecosystems. This free, family event will start at 9 am with a guided walk to celebrate the kickoff of the 2023 100 Alabama Miles Challenge.
When we return to the Learning Campus at 10 am (until 2 pm), we'll enjoy activities, games, and engaging information from our friends with Alabama Audubon, Alabama Coastal Foundation/Share the Beach, Alabama Department of Conservation & Natural Resources, Gulf Coast Center for Ecotourism & Sustainability, Pensacola & Perdido Bays Estuary Program, STEAMCamp, the University of South Alabama's Center for Archaeological Studies, and WingBeat. And of course, we'll have some of our wonderful Gulf State Park animal ambassadors on hand as well.
Over at Woodside Restaurant, they'll have live music from The Justin Colvard Band from 12-4 pm and Sierra Nevada Brewing Company will be doing a beer tasting for those 21 and older from 1-3 pm.
