North Alabama

- Joe Wheeler State Park offers scenic trails along the banks of Wheeler Lake. The hiking and biking trails inside the park are great for the whole family.
Central Alabama
- Chewacla State Park provides several miles of hiking trails and world class biking trails all conveniently located on the I-85 corridor.
- Enjoy 52 Miles of diverse hiking trails, biking trails, on-road bike, and horseback riding trails at Oak Mountain State Park
- Explore the popular, family-oriented hiking trails and biking trails at Lake Lurleen State Park
- Wind Creek State Park provides the Alabama Reunion Trail and the Campfire Trail that wind over hardwood ridges and through tall pines down the shoreline, offering spectacular views of Lake Martin with the beauty of wildflowers and blooming dogwood to white-tailed deer. There is also a 10-mile long horse trail, offering riders a scenic view through the hardwoods and tall pines in the park.
South Alabama
- Enjoy the hiking trails and a true 1 mile island hiking experience at Frank Jackson State Park
- Explore the elevated, interpretive boardwalk trail highlighting the Mobile-Tensaw River Delta at Meaher State Park
- The Hugh S. Branyon Backcounty Trail is and amazing network of trails worth exploring and is part of the great 29 miles of trails at Gulf State Park
- The Magnolia Trail at Blue Springs State Park is fun to check out while you are there for the spring-fed pool.
