To show appreciation for their service, Alabama State Parks provides Veterans and active-duty military personnel free admission to parks that charge entrance or day-use area fees (#ParksforPatriots). Veterans and active-duty military personnel should ask to receive their complimentary admission at gated parks or day-use facilities. You may be asked to show ID or documentation.
