Trip Advisor Awards
Alabama State Parks reaped a record 20 TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice awards for 2020. The honors go to only about 10 percent of the attractions listed on the travel website.
Alabama State Parks Base Camp
The Alabama State Parks provide locations and amenities that are well suited for outdoors people. Think about us next time you book your overnight reservations for your fishing, hunting or any other outdoor recreational adventure. Some of our parks even offer turnkey sites where you can do it all without ever leaving. Make your plans!
Screaming Eagle Aerial Adventures
We are excited about the two zip line adventure courses; The Screaming Eagle Aerial Zipline at Lake Guntersville State Park, the Canopy Zipline at Wind Creek State Park and the brand new Aerial Zipline at DeSoto State Park.
Car and Boat Registration
You now have an option of purchasing an Alabama State Parks car tag. The renewal process remains the same; simply request an Alabama State Parks car tag during the renewal procedure and 80% of your money will go directly to help fund the Alabama State Parks. Now all boat owners have the option of purchasing an Alabama State Parks boat registration for their vessel. This is a new form of much needed revenue for the State Parks.

Gift Cards
Did you know all the wonderful services offered at Alabama's State Parks can be paid for with a convenient swipe of a card? Visitors can pay for recreational activities and many other park amenities with an Alabama State Park gift card.
To show appreciation for their service, Alabama State Parks would like to provide Veterans with free admission to the parks that charge an entrance fee or day-use area fees. To accomplish this, we are asking park guests to consider sponsoring a Veteran by making a donation. Your donation, combined with other sponsor contributions, will allow us to honor the men and women who have served our great country.
Geocaching (pronounced geo-cashing) is one of the fastest-growing outdoor activities. It is a worldwide game of hiding and seeking treasure. A geocacher can place a geocache anywhere in the world, pinpoint its location using GPS technology and then share the geocache’s existence and location online at www.geocaching.com. Anyone with a GPS receiver can then try to locate the geocache.
