ABOUT THE ALABAMA WILDLIFE CENTER

The Alabama Wildlife Center is dedicated to the protection, preservation, and conservation of Alabama's native avian species through rehabilitation and education initiatives. The center is the oldest and largest of its kind in Alabama. Nestled in the heart of Oak Mountain State Park, our center is a haven for injured, orphaned, and sick birds, providing them with the medical attention and nurturing they need to recover and return to their natural habitats.
At the Alabama Wildlife Center, we are committed to promoting wildlife conservation through hands-on education and outreach programs. Our knowledgeable staff and volunteers offer engaging experiences for visitors of all ages, including guided tours, live animal presentations, and interactive exhibits that highlight the importance of protecting our environment and its inhabitants.
Join us in our mission to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for Alabama’s rich biodiversity. Whether you’re here to learn, volunteer, or simply enjoy the beauty of nature, the Alabama Wildlife Center is the perfect destination for wildlife enthusiasts and families alike.
