Spring Break at Joe Wheeler State Park
Come join us at Joe Wheeler State Park for 5 days of Spring Break fun!
Where: Joe Wheeler State Park - Day Use Area (picnic area & beach)
When: March 29th - April 2nd
Day Use Entry Fee: $5 - Adults
$2 - Children (6-12)
$2 - 62 Years & Older
$20 - "Carload" rate for 6+ people
Tuesday:
Join us on Tuesday for some fun arts and crafts at pavilion #1 in the Day Use Area!
- Bird Houses
- Bird Feeders (wooden or peanut butter pinecone)
- Leather Snake Key Chains
- Decorate your own kite
- And so much more!

Wednesday:
On Wednesday, we will be celebrating 'Take a Walk in the Park Day' with a fun, interpretive hike! We will begin and end our hike in the Day Use Area learning all about the wildlife, vegetation, and history of Joe Wheeler State Park.
Where: Meet at Pavilion #1 in the Day Use Area
When: 1:00pm
Miles Hiked: 2.5 - 3 miles
Thursday:
Gross Out Camp comes to Joe Wheeler State Park on Thursday, March 31st!
"Is it icky, sticky, or slimy? Can you race roly-polies? How about finding animal tracks or making friendssss with a scaly animal? If it's gross, we've got it! Fresh Air Family's Gross Out Camp introduces the best, the worst, and the grossest wonders nature has to offer. Hands-on field biology, it's the most fun a kid can have while learning. It's science, but please don't tell the kids!" Come join us for a day full of fun activities!

Friday:
Friday is chock-full of fun activities going on in the Day Use Area!
12:00pm - Games of 'Gotcha' will be going on at the basketball courts
1:00pm - 3 Point Contest at the basketball courts (1v1 and 2v2)
2:00pm - Water Balloon Toss (behind pavilion #1)
3:00pm - Friendly Soccer Game
*Frisbees, Footballs, and other equipment will be available for rent in the Day Use Area*

Saturday:
The Joe Wheeler Spring Break Bash begins Saturday, April 2nd at 10:00am!
Where: Day Use Area (picnic area & beach)
When: 10:00am - 4:00pm
Joe Wheeler State Park's Day Use area is going to be party central come 10:00 on Saturday morning. Three fun inflatables (bounce house, obstacle course, & football toss), snacks & drinks, and delicious snow cones...there's enough fun for the entire family!
