Take a Hike: Teddy Bear Hike
“The best thing about animals is that they don't talk much. Each species is a masterpiece, a creation assembled with extreme care and genius.”
-Edward O. Wilson
Animals of all shapes and sizes call Cheaha State Park home! But as much as we wish they would, our wildlife is not always cooperative enough to wait for us on the side of a path. However, through the placement of realistic stuffed animals along the trail, Cheaha’s interpretive staff will introduce you to these forest critters through their storytelling teaching style! Join us on this easy hike to connect with Alabama’s wild neighbors!
For more information email Mandy.Pearson@dcnr.alabama.gov or call 256 412-9938. The program is free with gate admission and to overnight guests. We are committed to providing programs that are educational, fun, and safe. Family units will be spaced out from other family units. We will provide hand sanitizer stations.
