Hurricane Evacuee Reservations
The Alabama State Parks Division is prepared to take in guests impacted by Hurricane Helene. For those needing accommodations, we encourage online reservations at https://reserve.alapark.com. You may also call 1-800-Alapark for any additional questions.
Our weather-aware teams are ready to assist with your stay at all 21 Alabama State Parks. We welcome you to make camping, cabin, or lodge reservations at the park that best fits your needs.
Dog-friendly policies
We love dogs and we understand that our visitors travel and vacation with their entire family, including their dogs. They are always welcome on a leash and we offer some dog-friendly overnight accommodations to make your stay more enjoyable. Learn more: Specific park dog rules and dog-friendly overnight facilities
* Pets may not be left unattended while visiting or staying in an Alabama State Park.
Discounts
Overnight Accommodation Discount
Alabama State Parks offers a 15% daily discount on overnight accommodations managed and operated by the State Park System for the following:
- Senior citizens age 62 and older
- Veterans and active military personnel
- People with disabilities as defined by the ADA
- State of Alabama employees*
Identification is required at check-in for all reservations. Discounts are based on the reservation system’s day rate for the amenity selected and are not available in conjunction with other group rates, employee pricing, special packages, weekly or monthly rates, or discounts.
*State Employees –Alabama State Parks also offers a special rate for State of Alabama employees on business travel (Sunday – Thursday, Standard Lodge Room only). Please call 1-800-Ala-Park to make reservations utilizing this $50 rate. State ID is required at check-in. This cannot be used in conjunction with other group rates, special packages, weekly or monthly rates, or discounts.

Alabama Residents Advanced Reservation Window
13-Month Advance Reservation Window
Effective Aug. 1, 2024, Alabama residents are eligible for the “Alabama Residents Advanced Reservation Window.”
- Alabamians will have greater flexibility in pricing, location and date options for traditional campground accommodations (RV, modern, and primitive camping).
- Reservations can be made online through the Plan Your Adventure Online portal at alapark.com.
- Whether guests come to enjoy a day on the trails or weeks of scenic park views, the Alabama State Parks system offers park-specific events, interpretive programming, rest, relaxation, and adventure.
- Park leadership encourages guests to plan ahead for the most flexible dates, rates, and location opportunities at Alabama’s 21 state parks.
