Meet the Park Naturalist for an early morning otter observation to try and catch a glimpse of the intriguing creatures and learn all about their diet, how to identify them, and what other areas you might can see them at the park. Otters have come to call several areas of Lake Guntersville home, and here is your chance to see them on a guided tour!
They have been used in many conservation studies as a bio monitor that tells researchers whether an ecosystem is healthy or not. This is a key indicator that our lake is clean and thriving by the number of families of otters that we have living here!
Early mornings at the lake always make for an exciting experience, not only do you have the chance to see the otters, but you might also see eagles, beavers, herons, & turtles!
Make sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on & binoculars for better viewing.
