First Day Hike: Sunset on the Delta
Join a naturalist while you hike on Canecutter Trail and the Gateway to the Delta Boardwalk at Meaher State Park and celebrate the new year! This will be a relatively easy walk that is just under a mile long. We will get to see and enjoy the immense biodiversity of the Mobile-Tensaw Delta. With migratory birds, winter plants, waterways teeming with life, and the new year ahead of us, there will be plenty of things to chat about!
People of all ages and leashed pets are welcome!
This trail is not ADA accessible.
Where: Parking lot next to the boardwalk (Staff at the front of the park can direct you where to go if need be.)
What to Bring: Weather appropriate clothing, close toed shoes, water, snacks, a camera and/or binoculars, and a flashlight for the walk back.

**All guests attending will get the official Alabama State Parks First Day Hike sticker for 2024
Free for overnight guests, veterans, and children under 12
$3 park entry fee for anyone else 12 and up
