The Alabama State Parks Host the Birth of the Bass Trail!

The ninth stop on the Alabama Bass Trail in 2014 was Roland Cooper State Park on the Alabama River.  Roland Cooper State Park is located six miles northeast of Camden in south central Alabama.  Rolling along the 22,000 acre Dannelly reservoir on the Alabama River, this 236-acre park features a nine-hole golf course with clubhouse, spacious vacation cottages, modern campground with bathhouse and laundry; and a scenic picnic area with tables, grills, pavilion and comfort station.  With fishing so popular in the reservoir, the park also provides boat launching facilities. Bait, tackle and gasoline can be purchased in the nearby Town of Camden.  Pet-friendly cottages are available. For lodging reservations at Roland Cooper State Park visit www.alapark.com or call 1-800-alapark or directly to the park at 334-682-4838.
