WHAT: Seventh Annual Governor’s One Shot Turkey Hunt News Conference

WHERE: Embassy I Ballroom • Embassy Suites • Montgomery, Alabama
 
Gov. Bob Riley and Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) Commissioner M. Barnett Lawley will be joined by corporate executives from BP America, EADS North America and other distinguished guests to brief the media on the many advantages and economic impact The Governor’s One Shot Turkey Hunt, coordinated by the Alabama Conservation and Natural Resources Foundation, generates annually for the state of Alabama. Additionally, a solar-powered all terrain vehicle (ATV) from BP America will be presented to Gov. Riley for use by the ADCNR.
 
The Alabama Conservation and Natural Resources Foundation promotes wise stewardship, management and enjoyment of Alabama’s natural resources through programs such as Hunters Helping the Hungry, Youth Dove Hunts, Becoming an Outdoors-Woman Workshops and funds scholarships at the Auburn University School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences.
