Outdoor Heritage Day To Be Held At Wehle Land Conservation Center

Take at trip back in time at the Alabama Outdoor Heritage Day, Saturday, October 1, 2005, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Wehle Land Conservation Center in Midway. The event is sponsored by the State Lands Division of the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.

The all day celebration will feature food, fun, music and old time outdoor activities such as log cabin tours, quilting demonstrations, early Alabama trapping exhibits, open woods trail rides, blacksmith demonstrations, cane mill/syrup making, fishing, boating and canoeing. There will be bluegrass music featuring the Mountain Hollow Band. Admission is free. For more information, call 1-800-LAND-ALA.
