Changes in Waterway Closings in South Alabama

September 24, 2004

Official notice is hereby given by the Chief Enforcement Officer of the Alabama Marine Police, pursuant to Reg. 220-6-.45-.128ER, that the Gulf Intra Coastal Waterway in Baldwin County and all waters south of the Gulf Intra Coastal Waterway in Baldwin County remain closed to vessel traffic. Exemptions are commercial barge traffic and those issued “Vessel Recovery Permits” by the Marine Police.

Effective 1 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2004, waters north of the Gulf Intra Coastal Waterway are re-opened to normal traffic.
