Press Release

January Boat Registration Deadline Extended

January 31, 2014

Conservation Commissioner N. Gunter Guy Jr. announces that Alabama boat owners who have renewals due in January 2014 or who need to register new boats will have until Feb. 10, 2014, to complete the task. “The deadline is normally January 31, but since so many people were affected by the severe weather conditions this week, we want to give people a few extra days,” he said.

Boaters just needing to renew a registration can do so online at www.outdooralabama.com, but new registrations must be completed in person at a Judge of Probate or License Commissioner’s office.

The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources promotes wise stewardship, management and enjoyment of Alabama’s natural resources through five divisions: Marine Police, Marine Resources, State Lands, State Parks, and Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries.
