Ladies Outdoor Event April 6 in Spanish Fort

March 19, 2013

The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) is conducting an outdoors workshop for women on April 6, 2013, at the Five Rivers Delta Resource Center in Spanish Fort, Ala. The workshop is part of the agency’s Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) program for women ages 18 and up. This “Beyond BOW” will feature classes in Outdoor Photography, Kayak Fishing, Beekeeping, Outdoor Sketch Pad and Bird Watching.

Beyond BOW at Five Rivers will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and pre-registration is required. The fee for the one-day workshop is $50 and includes lunch. Registrants will participate in one class of their choice based on a first-come, first-served basis, so early registration is encouraged. The Kayak Fishing class is currently full, but a waiting list is being established in the event of cancellations.

Registration information for this Beyond BOW event is found on the ADCNR website. Visit www.outdooralabama.com and click on the “Outdoor Adventures” menu listing.

For additional details, contact Sylvia Payne at 1-800-262-3151; e-mail Sylvia.Payne@dcnr.alabama.gov.
