Discovery Hike

Join Cheaha’s Naturalist, Mandy Pearson, on a hike across the highest mountain in Alabama. Learn about the Cheaha ecosystem, plants, animals, and history. Program is free with gate admission and to overnight guests.

Cheaha Explorer’s Club

Do you have a child who is curious about the great outdoors? The Cheaha Explorer’s Club might be a great program for your little explorer. This club is designed to teach children about nature while safely exploring the park. All supplies are included in this workshop. Space is limited, so registration is required. Tickets are $10.00 per person. Call Cheaha Sales at 256-488-5115 or 256-488-5885 to purchase tickets. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Trees are used as homes, food, shelter, lumber, paper products, air purifiers, and so much more. They are essential to humans, animals, and the ecosystem. Learn about trees of Northeast Alabama during a fun interpretive hike. Program is free with gate admission and to overnight guests.

Reptile Campfire Talk

Reptiles are found in diverse shapes, colors and sizes across the planet. These scaly creatures can crawl, swim, run, climb, and fly. Participants will learn many interesting facts and meet live reptiles.  Program is free with gate admission and to overnight guests.
