Cheaha Explorers Club

Do you have a child who is curious about the great outdoors? The Cheaha Explorer’s Club might be a great program for your little explorer. This club is designed to teach children about nature while safely exploring the park. All supplies are included in this workshop. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Natures Mystery Box

Animals are stealthy, and they often move through the forest unobserved. Although you might not see them, many creatures leave clues such as scat and tracks. Learn how to observe and understand these clues. Program is free with gate admission and to overnight guests.

What is Project Leave No Trace?

* Interdisciplinary, integratable, hands-on and activity-based

* Fun for students and instructors, indoors or out

Sunset Hike

Cheaha State Park is known for its amazing sunsets. Every evening visitors are delighted to see a new painting in the western sky.  Enjoy an interpretive hike as the sun descends. Program is free with gate admission and to overnight guests.

Camping 101 Workshop

Camping in our state parks can be an amazing experience. The Cheaha State Park staff wants to teach your family basic camping skills, so you feel comfortable and capable to plan future adventures.  All supplies are included in this workshop. Dutch Oven Gathering Cooking Demo
