Leave No Trace Bigfoot Egg Hunt at Cheaha State Park (Leave No Trace Bigfoot Education Pavilion)
Learn how to Leave No Trace (Bigfoot has been doing it for years!), hunt for colorful eggs, and possibly catch sight of Bigfoot! Join Alabama Leave No Trace State Advocate and Park Naturalist, Mandy Pearson, and Park Events Supervisor, Renee Raney for this fun family event at Cheaha Lake recreation area. Please bring your own egg basket. Bring a picnic and stay all day or play with us for the event and have lunch at Vista Cliffside Restaurant!
Gate to Park opens at 7:00 am - please don't hunt eggs until the competition begins for each category.
10:00 am Bigfoot Education Area Opens to the public (across from Bunker Tower)
10:30 am Leave no Trace Talk with Mandy Pearson, Park Naturalist (She may have some live critters with her...you never know!) at the Bigfoot Education Pavilion
11:00 am Little Kids Meadow Egg Hunt (Ages 6 years and under) -Renee Raney will lead this fun tumble!
11:30 am Big Kids Forest Egg Hunt (Ages 7 years ad up) - Mandy Pearson will guide these explorers!
Noon Leave No Trace Litter Pick Up Competition (Families have 30 minutes to help clean up Cheaha State Park)
12:30 pm Leave No Trace Litter Competiton Awards (First, Second and Third Place fun prizes)...possibly presented by Bigfoot!
