LAKE EUFAULA FISHING REPORT

as of 03/26/14

 

 

Water Level : 189.38     (Full pool is 190)

 

Surface Temp 59°

 

Water Clarity is Moderately Stained, but very fishable

 

 

 

Bass – Fair to God

Bass are moving to the shallows to spawn. Fish grassy areas in creeks and flat and on points. Baits that are producing are spinnerbaits w/gold blades and or White with Chartruse Skirts. Swim jigs in black and blue or green pumpkin, shallow running crankbaits in shad patterns, texas rigged lizards or worms  in green pumpkin, or black pumpkinseed with chartruses tails.

 

Crappie – Fair to Good

 

Fish are in 8-12 ft deep, look for them in creek channels, using jigs and minnows and small spinners such as beetle spins and fish them in various colors. Fish Slowly

 

 

Hybrids – No Report

 

 

Bream – No Report

 

Catfish – are very good right now using cut baits, live worms and minnows on  or near the bottom. Shallow flats are a good place to look.
