Lake Guntersville State Park provides the perfect backdrop for your wedding and reception. Various locations, both indoor and exterior, offer a variety of settings. Outdoor spaces accommodate an intimate wedding and a guest list of up to 150 people and offers panoramic views of the 69,000-acre Guntersville Reservoir. Interior spaces range from small to large, accommodating 10 to 500 people, and marvel in majestic views and a rich elegant decor. Stately hotel rooms and suites are perfect for the bridal party to relax and unwind before the big day and also ideal as the location for your honeymoon.

Planning and booking your event begins with our expert sales team. We work with you right until time for your wedding to make sure every detail is just as you expect. Our entire staff takes it from there and provides you with excellent service and fine dining. You just need to show up and have a great time!

We provide all catering services for your wedding with the exception of the cake. Menus range from items for a stand up reception, or a buffet spread, to a plated elegant dinner. You plan and design what you want and we will work with you to provide it.

The services we provide make ease of planning your wedding. Set up of your reserved spaces includes tables, chairs, linens, dishes, wait staff, and clean-up. Our banquet chairs are a burgundy-cushioned chair with gold trim. The chairs we use for the outdoor terrace weddings are white.

You may choose to rent additional furnishings from a vendor and have them brought in the day of the event. All rented furnishings must be removed the same day and must be set up by someone other than our staff.

We do not provide decorations. You may bring in decorations the day of your event and begin decorating around 8 to 9 a.m. that day. We do not guarantee the space to be set and ready for your use at that time however. Please be considerate of the time our staff needs to prepare your room and be willing to work around them when decorating.

We take reservations as much as 2 years in advance. We do not require a down payment when reserving your space. However, we do require a credit or debit card number to secure the location with no charges posted to the account. Payment for the event is actually not due until 72-hours in advance of your event. You may make payments between the time of setting your reservations up until time of the event but it is not a requirement.

Please be mindful of these regulations:

• We do not allow any outside food or beverages with the exception of your wedding cake(s). All food and beverages must be purchased through us.
• Candles must be in a votive cup or hurricane globe that is taller than the flame. NO OPEN FLAMES! NO individual candles per person. No exception to these rules.
• We do not allow silk flower petals or other non-biodegradable items to be thrown on the outside of the property. A clean-up fee will be imposed if this regulation is violated.
• Fireworks are not permitted in an Alabama State Park, to include sparklers.
• You may not pin, nail, or tape decorations to a wall surface or door. Decorations must be freestanding or hung in a manner that does not destroy the property. Please consult with our sales office if you have decorations that need special attention.
• Pictures or other property and furniture pieces of Lake Guntersville State Park that are permanently placed cannot be moved or covered for your event. You may use freestanding decorations to "conceal" the object from your view.
• All decorations, rented furnishings, or other objects that you brought to the lodge must be removed the day of your event.
• If you need storage space for decorations before or after your event, you may choose to rent a meeting room, based on availability. Meeting room rental fees apply daily.

If the dates you wish to hold a wedding are not available at Lake Guntersville State Park, please consider one of our sister parks such as Cheaha, Lakepoint, Monte Sano, Joe Wheeler, DeSoto, or any of our 22 Alabama State Parks.

Also consider our other outdoor venues such as the Beach Pavilion at our main campground. Contact the Country Store at 256-571-5455 for this location. Smaller pavilions at our Town Creek location can be reserved by calling 256-582-8352. The Mabrey Overlook near the Golf Pro Shop rests on the brow of the mountain for an amphitheater-type seating for about 50 people. Contact our Park's Headquarters to reserve this space at 256-571-5444. Rental fees apply for the pavilions. The Mabrey Overlook is a free location but must be pre-reserved.
