Elk River Group Lodge

Elk River Group Lodge is a unique facility, which enables several members of a group to stay in the same dwelling. It is especially attractive to family reunions, church retreats and fishing clubs. The setting for the lodge is within a cove off of Elk River. It is a facility of Joe Wheeler Resort State Park but is located approximately 10 miles from the main park area. A boat ramp is available in this area to access Elk River.

Thirteen bedrooms are located inside the lodge, and the capacity of the lodge is 30 people. The commercial-type kitchen is a plus for large groups. A deep fryer, restaurant-style grill and commercial icemaker make serving your group easier. At the entrance to the building is a day room that serves as an area to socialize or hold a small meeting. Linens are provided, as well as tableware and a limited amount of cookware.

To make reservations for this facility, you may call the main park office Monday through Friday. from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. We accept reservations up to one year in advance.
