Lake Frank Jackson is specially stocked and managed for prime freshwater fishing. Bass, bream, crappie, and catfish are abundant. Each April, anglers converge on the park for a bass fishing tournament. Boat launch ramps and a grassy beach provide water access for boaters, canoe paddlers, and swimmers. A handicap accessible fishing platform is located at the northwest end of the dam and is accessible from Highway 42.
