One World Adventure Company is a community based 501 non-profit organization in Mentone, Alabama. Designed around the belief  that outdoor education enhances personal development, the organization provides quality outdoor education programs, combining adventure, environment, and learning to youth and families.

2014 Schedule

Spring Survival Class 
Hosted by DeSoto State Park and provided by One World Adventure Company 
An early spring survival class for Wilderness Survival 101. A weekend long class with a specific for the lower Appalachian mountain range and spring weather conditions. We will cover a broad range of topics from Clothing, Kits, Shelter, Fire, Water, and Rescue. Adults and youth 14 and up. Youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Dates: Saturday March 1st & Sunday March 2nd, 2014 
Time: Saturday 9:00 am - Sunday 3:00 pm 
Where: Desoto State Park, Fort Payne, Alabama-Meet at Country Store
Fee: $185 per person includes meals and all camping equipment. $135 per person includes meals (must provide your own camping equipment). $105 per person includes instruction (must provide on camping equipment and food).*

Bugging Out Weekend-Part 1
Hosted by DeSoto State Park and provided by One World Adventure Company 
What is a bug out bag is its purpose? A 2 part class on how to make and park a bug out bag and strategies for a bug out plan. Learn different type of cashes, what should and shouldn’t be cashed and small hints about hiding the location of a cash on a map. Adults and youth 14 and up. Youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Dates: Saturday Apr 5th & Sunday April 6th, 2014
Time: Saturday 9:00 am – Sunday 3:00 pm
Where: Desoto State Park, Fort Payne, Alabama- Meet at Country Store

Bugging Out Weekend-Part 2 
Hosted by DeSoto State Park and provided by One World Adventure Company 
Part 2 of the Bugging out series. Hit the trail with your bug out bag and put it to the test. Even if you didn’t go to the first class, bring your own bug out bag and come along. This trip will test your bug out bag and its contents in a 72 hour scenario. Adults and youth 14 and up. Youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Dates: Friday May 2nd – Sunday May 4th, 2014
Time: Friday 5:00 pm – Sunday 3:00 pm
Where: Desoto State Park, Fort Payne, Alabama-Meet at Country Store

Bring old school camping back to the 21st century learning outdoor skills and enjoying nature with your family. During this bush craft weekend learn projects you can do with your family while camping. Adults and youth 14 and up. Youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
