What’s Happening In & Around DeSoto State Park

Harvesting your Own Survival Foods

Participants will join Survivalist Robert Wilson of Seven Pines Survival in a hands-on class in learn how to identify, gather, and prepare edible wild plants commonly found in the South. This is a class for beginners who want to get their feet wet(literally) in Survival and Wild Crafting. Fun family class where we will be harvesting Cattails and other plants.

What to bring: Water bottle, notebook and pencil, camera. Clothing suitable for getting into water
