Outdoor Family Package –Wild Breakfast & Nature Experience

Families can enhance their overnight stay in DeSoto State Park with a hands-on wildcrafting experience.

Robert Wilson, naturalist and wildcraft extraordinaire will offer you a selection of natural harvested (gluten free) grains for a catered pancake breakfast, complete with natural syrups derived from local blackberries or maple and hickory trees, along with a Chaga or Sassafras tea to complement your meal. After breakfast families will make journals from natural materials and set out on a forest discovery walk, observing plants, animals and learning all about what nature has to offer.

$60 per family of four.  Additional members: $10 each

Forest Discovery Hike 
Join Naturalist, Robert Wilson of Seven Pines Survival for a experiential journey within the forest, taking in every opportunity to learn more about the natural world. Your guide will point out the many native plants of the southern Appalachians, and teaching facts about important uses of particular plants for food, medicine, and craft.
**Walks will not exceed 1 1/2 hours and is requires at least 4 participants if booking outside of scheduled events.
Cost: $7 per adult $3 per child under 12
