Campfire Talk: Voices of the Night
Join us for a fun campfire talk in the Great Outdoors! Campfire Talks are a series of educational & entertaining programs located in the great outdoors. Campfire programs are held many Friday & Saturday evening (May –October) in DeSoto State Park.
Famous biologist Carolus Linneaus referred to them as ‘foul, and loathsome creatures’ with ‘harsh voices’. Others find the calls of our frogs and toads to be quite pleasant and calming. Join Dr. George Cline (aka Dr. Frog) and his friends as he teaches us how to identify these often beautiful beasts that may be heard just a short hop from your home. Seating is limited, so bring your own comfortable camp chair if you wish.
